The special thing about these quarter stamps is that 4 embossings of the same stamp can be combined into one large motif. So you get beautiful tile fields, which can also be combined well with smaller tiles

The tile field stamps are available in 9 sizes
Thus, they are compatible with standard cookie cutters and perfect to combine with each other.
The somewhat crooked appearing sizes take into account on the one hand the shrinkage of clay due to drying and firing to get on the one hand in about 5x5cm, 10x10cm and 20x20cm large tiles and on the other hand to fit better to Anglo-American (inch) dimensions.

Not only can you easily make your own tiles with it, but also blue printing and embossing on paper, cardboard, wax and fabric, as well as texturing ceramic objects are possible applications.

All of our wood stamps and hand rollers are deeply milled from solid wood and have beveled ridges. This makes them easy to remove from clay

The stamp blocks are made of solid hardwood: cherry, beech, oak, etc. , come from sustainable, European timber industry and are made in Germany.
The stamps are treated with linseed oil and are then ready for many applications.
If necessary, clean with warm water and let dry slowly, then maintain again with a little linseed oil.
This way they will last for generations.

Very clear results on clay are achieved when the clay is a little drier and no longer smears. Then use a rubber mallet to gently tap the stamp in a glue-like manner.
With a little practice, you can achieve perfect embossing in plates this way. But of course, many other ways work as well, such as pouring food starch into a light sock (or similar) and dusting the surfaces to be stamped with it a bit. This is a great way to use the stamp even when the clay is very fresh.
